The park comes alive at dusk!
I had a very productive but somewhat lazy day. Started out doing laundry in the sink ....a few tops I had run so I thought it best to do them myself instead of taking my stuff in and then having everything end up one color. I am hoping there is a machine at the yoga retreat!
Went for a 2 hour massage at four - 30 minutes on my feet and 90 minutes head to ankles. Thai massages are not generally relaxing in my opinion. The masseuse is pounding and moving your limbs ways they do not generally move. They sit on you and crawl up and down your body. they use their elbows as tools. The prod, poke, push and pull. I told the masseuse that I do not bend like a Thai and to be gentle - she was amazing. So much so that I am going back on Saturday.
I found this massage place on my walk about yesterday. When I was in the park I saw all these kids walking through - taking a short cut. So when I went today I found the short cut. It was a little sketchy, I wouldn't do it at midnight but when I was returning this is what was going on in the park. Remember, yesterday it was basically empty - mind you it was 37 degrees and a lot earlier in the day.
Had to be a few hundred people doing an exercise program to music and an instructor - all ages, all types. Then a horde of joggers went by. Makes sense that it would be far too hot to do this before the sun went down.
I think the powers that be forgot to put up the no cat sign!!
I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was craving, of all things, soup. I found some tom yum - kind of different from what I am use to ...noodles and meat, no shrimp. It was topped with a wonton like thing and had these crispy crouton like things ......it was delicious but hot ..spicy hot. The sweat was dripping down my back and my forehead ...my lips were burning. Then I felt like some spring rolls so went on a hunt but no luck.
