Muay Thai on Boxing Day

It was actually fun! 

I don't think the video works in this format but for a price I would gladly send you an original. It's the faces of Carole and Kelly in the background that are priceless.

I will do it again next week for sure.

After boxing I went to the beach then did a yoga class then went for lunch.
Kylie and I decided to go shopping and get Carole a birthday gift so once again I missed cardio.

Had dinner at the place next door - must really find out the name. Kylie ordered a dish called "no-name", it was like corn and chicken fritters with a spicy sauce. It was so good I order one. Then I had cashew chicken and wine.
It was Caroles birthday and she had ordered dessert at 7 for our group so we made our way back to the resort - next door!

First off, this is an example of a Spanish Water dog that has not been clipped  - kind of like dreads I guess. She was really sweet and ball obsessed. My sea glass collection is a little out of control - I have obviously separated the colored glass from the white and if push comes to shove the white will stay.  Surfers were out on Sunday!  On Monday I drove to Istan but forgot my phone so I have no pictures - it is a small town on a dead end road. Interesting to see but not a lot was there. Had to park outside the town and walk in as the roads were not wide enough! On Tuesday I drove to Fuengirola and walked up to Sohail Castle - the views were lovely. I walked down the other side and along the beach back to the car. Swans weren't going out! It's only 37 degrees!!

My feet are beat up and it is 37 degrees so I thought today would be a restful one.  I went to Robinson's - the Thai equivalent to perhaps The Bay .  Tried to find some blister band aids - not much luck. So, I took the Sky Train back to Prom Pong and searched there. Decided to go see Knives Out - an outstanding bunch of actors and actresses - Christopher Plummer, Jamie Lee Curtis... it was just OK. What really threw it off for me was Daniel Craig with a southern drawl. The two just don' go together IMHO. The theater on the other hand was interesting. The movie costs 150 baht - about 6.50 CDN. Popcorn cost 170 baht - 7.50 CDN. The seats were lazy boys and came with a blanket. All six of us stood for the King before the movie started. The theater I was at here years ago was nicer but don't recall which one it is. To enter the Directors Lounge it cost 1000 baht for two ($44) you get free snacks, upgraded seats in the theater plus unlimited popcorn and drinks.  ...

Happy Lunar New Year ......and then depression set in .....

  Still in Chiang Mai! I went to a New Years Eve dinner on Saturday and it was an interesting time. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures that I can post as they are on an app I don't know how to access. I asked what I could bring and was told a cake. Sumana said to get the cake from S & P bakery. I took Grab to the bakery and got the cake - it was labelled as a black forest cake but as with everything here  - same same but different!  It did have one cherry on it and whipped cream.  I stood outside in 37 degree weather with it waiting for Sumana. Then spent an hour in the car getting to the dinner. Once I got there I handed it to the hostess and said that it needed to go in the fridge. Nope, it sat on the counter. The house was huge, well manicured and had no furniture to speak of inside. The host is a university Chemistry professor and most of the guests were profs so this was a very educated group.
