THE MALL

Even at the best of times I forget where I park my car.

Hugh mall so I took a pic of where I parked.

You know you're in Spain when there is a whole store of ham!

The main purpose in going to a mall as the first thing I did here was to get a SIM card for my phone.  The apartment has wifi but you can only hook up one device at a time - pain. But also, I want to have data on my phone for when I am out and about. Orange Mobile had a great deal - 20 Euros for one month with 30 GB of date. There is no roaming in the EU so will top it up when I leave here and use it in France!

The grocery store was like a Walmart on steroids!! HUGE!!!!

The food all looked so good! Meat was in a package, they had salads and prepackaged meals! Got a bunch of stuff for breakfast, fruit, salad and cheese. Plus some vino!

Young guy only 6.90 Euros

Old guy 13.39 Euros

Senior Citizen +  29.99 Euros!
There are a lot of things I could say about the progression of age and the increase in price but I am not going there  - make up your own story!

Monday March 9th Amsterdam

We headed out to the Albert Cuyp Market first thing - we walked by a restaurant that said bacon and eggs and we were in it like a flash! The guy was super nice and we both ordered breakfast. It was interesting because the plate had toast on it the bottom then we think they cooked the bacon and then cooked eggs right on top of the bacon. Sounds odd but it was good - after I pulled the bacon apart from the egg and separated it all!  Tiki says it looked like a bacon and egg pizza! The owner talked us into splitting a piece of apple cake that he had just brought out of the kitchen - it was also very good!!! Freshly baked apple cake! A whole stand of licorice! Pigeon watching me take every bite! Only the Dutch could turn a bike into a table!  Delicious! How small can the cars get! Like the size of a recycling bin! Anne Franks door! Flowers are in bloom! Paris - Day 2 somehow got lost in the fray! So, it's out of order!

Woops : I forgot to post these yesterday from a local chocolate store. Not sure the history of these but I first had them in Brittany - they are so good! Pignouf Geant  only 225.00 Euros Our coronavirus plan is formulating - we decided to go to the museums first thing to avoid the crowds. First stop today was Sainte Chappelle: Yellow Alert for Flood warnings on the Seine Gangways to nowhere!

What a long haul!

Oy Vey, Arrived in Bangkok at zero dark thirty this morning just in time to see a beautiful sunrise. My picture does not do it justice. The first leg from Toronto to Dubai was great. I cannot say enough about the service provided by Air Canada. Everyone was very nice and the food was excellent. Even the food in the Maple Leaf Lounge was tasty and I am not saying that because of the three glasses of wine I had. Excellent wine selection ! Maple Leaf Lounge.  My space for the 13 + hours! Arrived In Dubai somewhat refreshed as I did manage to sleep a little. On the way to the lounge I spotted the Brioche Doree  - United Arab Emerites has every major  chain store and restaurant in the world, in my opinion these are the McDonalds of patisseries from France. I looked at a few things along the way in the multitude of duty free stores but the prices did not seem that great. No room for an almond croissant! M & M's, gummies ...
