Enjoy your stay at the airport

Tiki just went through security - her flight leaves at 9:20, my flight leaves at 1 pm.  Five hours to people watch and chill. Not sure what time the Swiss Air counter opens - probably 11 ish!!

So, Tiki arrived Monday afternoon and our first stop was the Miramar Mall so that she could get a SIM card. The deal I got was over but she got 15 GB for 20 Euros. Pretty good deal I think. We went upstairs and had a pastry and a coffee then did a bit of shopping.  Once home I whipped up a pasta dinner - the tomato frito sauce they have here is delicious. It is fried tomatoes with garlic and oil. Naturally sweet!

On Tuesday we were up and out early - first stop Ronda!

SPOT THE GOATS!

From Ronda we drove to the Ruins Of Acinipo. I had read about it and it sounded pretty interesting. Did not disappoint!! You can google it for more info but here are some pics:

Te entrance to the site was free, a gentleman explained to us where to go and there were explanations at five of the stops.  Can't even fathom the time lines!

From here we drove to Sentinel de las Bodegas and had a not so great lunch but the housing was built right into the side of the mountain!

Unfortunately I turned my phone off to save battery and did not have my Spanish pin number with me to turn it back on!  Who knew!!

We took the scenic drive home through the back road and ended up stopping at the Candida Mall and shopping  - after some gelato of course!!

On Wednesday we drove to Mijas Costa and walked through the market. Actually we were a little early for the Spaniards so we walked downtown to the beach and were meet with an protest. Best we could figure is that they want a school.

We made our way on the back roads up to Mijas Pueblo and the views back to the Mediterranean were stunning to say the least!!

Churros, we thought we were ordering 2 but this is what came! We struggled but managed to clean it all up!! DELICIOUS with hot chocolate dipping sauce!

Tikis tapas lunch  - I had a chicken wrap! YUMMY!!!

Complimentary caramel liquor!

After another long day we got home and walked to The Beach House for Happy Hour!

Beach House resident cat climbed up the pole for a better view of the sunset!
